better-but still? A horrible mom. July 07 2007
Brendan ended up sleeping out at a friends camp (what we call cottages here) last night. So after dinner in town with my mother putting the finishing touches on feffie’s wedding, I came home relaxed, refreshed & slightly over stuffed. After consulting my brilliantly edumacted internet lovah and my wacked out mother, I came up with some short term and long term solutions for my Noah, who has been so nasty lately.
And it’s totally all my fault….of course it is.
Clue number one being he NEVER acts this way for anyone else…only me…not in school, not even with Chris.
Up until about a month ago he didn’t act like this with me.
I have been on the phone or computer far too much during the day for whatever reasons. FAR TOO MUCH and not paying enough attention to him. And then we walk to my mom’s where…her and I chat about wedding stuff and family stuff and guess what? It’s not all about him there either.
AND for some unknown reason? I do not follow through with my threats of punishment with him. I was/am so consistent with Brendan, he KNOWS I mean business. But NOah? He knows I’ll just leave it and he’ll get it anyway.
Today has been better. I’ve made every effort to not ignore him. I even have my saturday morning phone/internet chat with Feffie without incident. We haven’t had one real issue with him today.
Sometimes I need a slap in the face.
Now if only Brit leaved close enough to work with him, I would totally pay her in baked goods.
1. I thought I was your edjumacated internet lovah.
2. How come you never ask me for advice?
3. Ofcourse it was your fault. Duh.
Awwww, well it takes an awesome person and great mom to step back, be critical about yourself and conclude something like that. Go you!
I think maybe Chris told him you were “easy”….now he thinks he can get away with ANYTHING! LOL
*brit trys to figure out how she can get baked goods anyway*
also Jon? bite me. Heh!
Sometimes the hardest answers to find end up being the most obvious. I’ve been there.
