Weekend March 12 2007
Well, our weekend was a little uneventful, which is mostly welcome.
Saturday morning Chris worked a little over time and was home around noon. Noah had a birthday party to attend the father of the boy was a guy a dated a LONG time ago. Also present, ANOTHER father of a child I dated a LONG time ago.
I tried to make Chris go by himself to save me the humiliation but NOOO I had to go too. It’s was so bad. I ignored the one father and chatted with the birthday boy’s father and mother. It was at the swimming pool and I think we might choose the venue for the boys party later this year. FABULOUS idea.
Anyway, Saturday night we went to the park with the boys and played on the HUGE snow bank until no one could stand up anymore, then we trudged them throw the bush, the long way home. They loved it and everyone was exhausted.
Yesterday they were supposed to go and forage for some fire would while I worked so that we could have a decent little fire last night, I even bought some weinies for the occasion.
Well instead they donned Dori’s new sweater (a la sneeches)

And headed out of town to a favourite picnic spot. Of course they did not consult me before departing. And so southern ontario boy Chris didn’t realize just HOW MUCH snow would be out in the bush untouched this entire winter, previous snowfalls never packed down. We’re talking waist deep in some spots and that’s only because we didn’t get much snow this year.
So dumbass didn’t wear any boots. DUH. The kids were nicely bundled and Dori was obviously dressed for the occasion, so they had fun tramped around the bush, the saw a bunch of tracks they claim to be all moose tracks but they just as easily could be deer tracks, the sour kraut is such a know it all I like to argue such points with him.
Dori came home and immediately went to sleep, she didn’t move all night. Clearly she missed out outings to the bush.
The did not come back with ANY fire wood on account of it being buried in 3 months of snow.
Double duh.
I’m slightly jealous of their adventure while i was stuck in a mall, however the sour kraut and I would’ve argue incessantly just because he annoys me and he hates it when women argue with him.
So I’ll be happy to go with my own little family alone next weekend when Chris and I have both pledged NOT to work.
Of course all the snow will be gone by then and we will be awaiting out one last snow storm of the season. It always happens.
mostly I’m concerned by the dog outfit
