My Weekend of Nothing. February 27 2007
This weekend i did nothing.
Chris worked on Saturday.
Chris and Brendan skied on Sunday.
Noah and I just hung out.
Last night or early this morning, Noah developed a burning fever.
And he had us up for the day at 5am. 5am!
Today we spent on the couch. We watched too much TV. And he played many video games [in my own defense, some of them were even educational].
Brendan came home from skiing on sunday and went directly to the pool for some swimming.
He went again tonight after dinner. I’m so happy for him, he’s so active here.
Anyway, everyone is in bed. Noah was just up for a snuggle and an ibuprofen.
Chris can barely walk today after forgetting himself and doing some jumps at the ski hill yesterday.
I think he injured his I.T. band, but he’s all hopped up on backpills and is now a drooling mess in bed with Noah.
And here I sit in relative silence, with one dog warming my feet.
No gym today…possibly no gym tomorrow if Noah is still sick.

I need a nap.
and a hair cut.
Why are you looking at me like that? What did I do?
Cool hat. Wishing you healthy peoples, and soon. It’s a bummer tending sick ones. Haven’t you had your full share of flu and the like up there yet?
what a coincidence! I did nothing too!
I want that toque!
I hope the little ones get to feeling better. I’m not sure if the race to do a marathon or taking care of a sick child is more strenuous, so in my book you are still training. I also enjoyed reading the rest of your blog and running entries.
Just revisiting you after a long absense – sounds like you’ve had a rough stretch. Specifically about the ITB ski issue… when I had ITB and went skiing, I found that the chair lift killed me. The weight of the ski/boot pulling on the ITB leg is just plain wrong when you’re inflamed.
More gym, less chocolate? Short term suck, long term good. Hard, but worth it.
