I’ve switched BACK to a Zoot design, because well it’s prettier and it load fasters AND it has a shoe on it.

I was going to title this entry MOO but I thought Brit might be offended.

Anyway, I’m fat. No seriously, FAT.

Fat like I’ve gained 40lbs in the year and a half I have lived here.

Fat like an hour of running is REALLY hard and slow for me & I don’t really get very far.

Fat like I’m too fat to run outside so I hide in the basement.

Fat like FORTY POUNDS fat.

Fuck me that’s a lot of cake.

I weigh the same right now as I did the morning I gave birth to Brendan.

I gained 60lbs during that pregnancy.

I’m not even whining.

I am seriously grossed out by this.

So, remember how well I did with the w@ight w@tchers before? Today I started again, I will not participate in meetings cause in this town you have to pre-pay for them, and I am seriously NOT spending $140 on my fat ass at this time of year.

Also, my friends from my old town want me to run The Bay with them this year. And since I stood Jon up on that one last year, I think it would be bad karma to not run it again.

Training begins today to get my ass up to 12km again by January, when I can start concentrating on building enough mileage for the entire 30km, yikes. Seems like a crazy goal at this point, but we’ll see.

4 years ago today he was in an isolette (sp?) in the newborn intensive care stark naked and very pink. He was born via c-section and had fluid in his lungs. Nothing serious, but just enough to keep him from us for a few hours.

Hours I spent insanely itchy then insanely nauseous.

Other c-section mommy’s I know talk about their morphine drip.

This I find insanely unfair, I DID NOT HAVE A DRIP! No morphine except for the shot that make me itchy

Anyway he was perfect in the hospital and perfect once we got home.

He still is for the most part, despite that fact the still holds the world title for bossiest kindergartener in North America.

He started Kindergarten this year, has been attending faithfully for a mere 3 months and already he can count to 10 in french, he can describe the weather in french and he knows most of his colours in french. He can print his name and is very close to printing mine (he just mixes up the order of the letters).

He started swimming lessons this month and already they want to skip him ahead a level, we declined so can spend this month just getting used to the whole setting and the routines.

He’s FOUR years old, he’s not a baby anymore but not so big that he doesn’t climb into our bed saturday morning so we can sleep in together.

Which means I needs as many Saturday mornings as I can get, cause you know that’s not gonna last forever.

Four years ago tonight, I was a freakin basket case while I tried to prepare myself for my impending c-section the next morning.

I couldn’t eat past 10pm (an unnatural request for a pregnant woman in her 26th month) and i had to sleep, yeah right.

I had only one semi panick attack around 5:30 am when I decided I didn’t want a new baby, that at 30yrs old I was too old to wake up and breastfeed through out the night. I almost escaped the car at the first red light.

tomorrow is Noah’s 4th birthday.

FOUR

Years

Here I am at 1am, with insomnia.

That sucks.

Know what else sucks?

The fact that I grabbed my earlobe with my flat iron this morning.

It’s all crusty and sore now (my earlobe)

I’d post a photo but the ouchiest part is on the BACK of my ear lobe and I am too tire to figure out just how to execute that.
