Let me just start out by saying that a lot of the comment spam I getting right now is for…AN@L F1STING.

Let me just put that out there again for effect.

An@l.

F1STING.

There is no way that can be a healthy activity.

Also? I suspect the reprocussions are not so pleasant.

~~~moving along~~~
I ran probably 5km yesterday, close to it anyway.
It was on my favourite hilly trail. I did walk a little here and there, but ran for the most part. I had feffie’s old MP3 player (long story…don’t ask) and CHris had recently added music to it. So it was real mixed bag of weirdnes.
I started out to Nine Inch Nails, whom I secretly LOVE LOVE LOVE, HEAD LIKE A HOLE, great running music.
Along the way I sampled The Tragically Hip, Sound Garden (meh) & Black Sabbath.
Oh and one AC/DC song.
It made for an interesting pace.
It was odd though cause the run went a LOT better than I expected it to.
Today? I might head to the gym for a consulation with the personal trainer dude “HELLO THERE!”, unless my quads seize up and I can’t get off the couch. One of the two though for sure.
OH MY GOD IT’S A POST ABOUT RUNNING ON A GODDAMNED RUNNING BLOG! September 25 2006
So here’s my day so far.
Chris and I went down town to run errands.
We picked up the window shade we ordered from sears (apparently you can totally see through our curtain at night…the very same curtains I have been changing in front of for about a YEAR!).
And then it rained and rained and rained as we walked around down town.
And then! AND THEN! I stopped into the gym and had a tour and picked up price-lists and learned that do not do contract & do not want my bank account number and they just bought 3 new treadmills and an eliptical. huzzah.
And then bought somemore herbal sleep aids (not pot. shut up Jon).
And then I went to drycleaners and picked up my beautiful red wool coat that I forgot i had left at the drycleaners in Feb/2006.
And then we came home.
ANd now I am eating a granola bar (that doesn’t include chocolate) and getting ready to go…..
RUNNING.
short and slow (like me!).
And tomorrow I might hit the gym, unless I can’t move.
Then I might skip it.
When Efficiency Just Isn’t Efficient
So Chris and I both had to work yesterday
The boys had to go to their Grandfather’s and no one would be home until the earliest 3ish.
SO I thought what to do for dinner tonight? A perfect opportunity to make beef stew in the slow cooker.
So in the morning I chatted with Jon, fed my boys, showered myself and then started the stew with 15mins before we had to leave.
It was AFTER I had all the meat cut up and the onion diced that I realized we had NO potatoes. No big deal, the stew could cook and simmer in it’s heavenly loveliness until Chris came at 2 and tossed in spuds.
It wasn;t until I added it to the crockpot and topped it up with beef stock and veggie broth that I noticed we were out of carrots, well not completely out of carrots, I had about 6 baby carrots left over from Noah’s lunch last week.
And while I was tossing those in I noticed that we were also out of turnip.
No time for moaning I rushed out the door to work.
I spoke to Chris at some point and told him to grab something for dinner on his way home since he was finished before the grocery stores closed and I had only partially prepared dinner.
Great.
And then? Chris worked late and came to my store just as i was closing up. He’d left his wallet at home and wanted to know if I had any cash.
And I did.
$2.87
So we went home to find his bank card.
And by then the grocery stores were closed. So we ordered a pizza for dinner.
Late.
Pro-Activity September 24 2006
So I sort of let my boss know my intentions the other day.
But being she is one of the most passive aggressive people I know, I did it in a round about sort of way.
She was complaining about our head office and telling me AGAIN how WE didn’t “Step up” as we should have, but no no it was her that said that, it was her district manager that said that. SHE stood up for us. And was prepared to take blame for anything that didn’t get done. (which really? NOTHING didn’t get done…fuck her).
So then I snapped a little…and (imagine) I went on a little rant about how WE worked our asses off ALL summer. ALL SUMMER, convenient eh? That we worked ALL summer, every long weekend, every Saturday. And that I was severely pissed off that anyone would have anything negative to say about our performance NOW. When there were 8 weeks of opportunities to help correct anything we have been doing incorrectly.
Not surprisingly she agreed with me and went on to tell me how she told the district manager that really even before she left and our assistant manager was away in Europe for 3 weeks, she was so pre-occupied that I was one running the storeĀ  anyway since june.
WHATEVER.
She is SO full of shit. That is totally not her personality she sold us out IĀ  know she did. And is playing it up that is finally back from her traumatic experience to save the day from our incapable hands.
biotch.
Anyway, I told her I had started handing our resumes. And I didn’t tell her where. Because believe me, it is not beneath her to sabotage opportunities for me JUST so she doesn’t have to train someone new (there is not one in the store right now able to step into my job).
So now it won’t be a surprise attack when I give her my notice. See? that’s how fabulous I am.
I’ve applied for something closer to my field & also something even lower than my current position. And sadly both of those pay more than my job right now. ugh.
Hopefully I hear from someone this week.
this is a bridge I cannot burn, she’s knows everyone in town. And knows people VERY well at both places I have applied. You have out manipulate her which isn’t difficult because although she is a very skilled a lying, she is not the brightest crayon in the box and I can out think her in a heartbeat.
go me!
