Shut Up and Run.

I was so excited last night. I didn’t have to work today. I didn’t to get up to watch the kids first thing in the morning. We were planning a picnic for later this afternoon that would (and will) require so late morning cooking. But other than that? That’s it! Slip into a coma and surface again whenever you like.

HA! Yeah right.

4am. Enter Noah. The boy who hasn’t slept with us all week. The boy you flops ALL OVER THE BED. The boy who flails his arms and legs at unsuspecting parents. His little arm landed square across my throat which totally caused me to contemplate throwing him off the bed.

Eventually Chris evicted him, with the promise of slaying whatever monsters await him in his own room, just as the sun began to lighten the sky.

GAH!

Maybe you can fit a nap into your schedule?

Rick Says:

Is your bedroom too small to fit a moat around the bed? Add a Croc or two and even the most adventurous of children will be put off. Just a thought, that’s all’s I’m sayin’.

Laura Says:

Heh…..welcome to my world….Deb sleeps like that EVERY night…….

Jon in Michigan Says:

My son used to do that. Wake up at night and come into our room to talk to us.

I told my son if he comes in to wake me up in the middle of the night anymore, he’ll wish the monsters WOULD come get him.

Heh.

It didn’t work.

Beth Says:

Oh those were the days, no sleep and having to be vigilant so your children make it another day. Its no wonder women in their 20s and 30s are slower in races than women in their 40s!

Linda Says:

Count yourself lucky, my hub does that EVERY night, All night!
