Shut Up and Run.

It’s SO cold here!!! I ran last night but only a short one. I know I’m a wimp wimp wimp. But I figured since I am not training for anything I can do what I want! I’m afraid I am going to loose endurance though. So I will heading out for Saturday’s group long run. Though I probably won’t do the 22k they’re doing. (Cause I don’t have to!)
Running is a chore for me right now. Odd because just 2 weeks ago I was SO enjoying it. It’s one of those things I guess. Not every run can be a perfect run. Sometimes it’s just a run and sometimes it sucks donkey ass.

Not that last night’s run sucked….it’s was just an effort…not a huge one either…but an effort none the less.

But I’m not grumbling….really. I’m just being lazy and I HATE that feeling. You know?

My first born will be 9 on Sunday. NINE!!!!! Years old! When the hell did that happen?
Wasn’t it just yesterday that he would call me Mama and hold my hand while we did ANYTHING in the house.
Wasn’t it just yesterday that he couldn’t tie his shoes?
Wasn’t it just yesterday that he refused to learn to ride a bike?
Wasn’t it just yesterday that he decided he hated all foods other than nutella sandwiches and cod fish sticks?
Wasn’t it just yesterday that he made sweater vests his fashion statement?
Wasn’t it just yesterday that he was learning to pee in the toilet and he dropped the lid on his junk and screamed like a girl?(Oh wait that really was yesterday)

He’ll be NINE soon. I can’t imagine that. Nine years ago I was confined to a hosiptal room with pregnancy induced hypertension…I was bloated beyond recognition and NOT happy about it at all. I was in the arctic and it got dark around 2pm…the sun didn’t even come up until 10am.
I was bitter and sick of the “bland food” menu I was restricted too..and that was before you got to choose was you liked. BAH!!They induced me on the 30th and it ended in a c-section….lovely. Bren was HUGE he was 9.2lbs but only 18 inches long…a little butterball turkey…heee.
He walked at 9 months
Spoke in tiny full sentences at 2.
He decided he wanted to be a meteorologist or geologist at 4.
He’s learning to play the bagpipes, but he hates it when I pack grapes in his lunch cause “no one else has them”
He’s our little geeky weirdo and we couldn’t be prouder.
