Shut Up and Run.

Sore December 31 2004

Filed under: General — pamalamadingdong @ 11:59 am

That’s what I am today. Clearly my 13k run after a NINE day hiatus was a little overly ambitious. Today my quads are a little more than a little sore (hey I rhymed!). Maybe not enough water maybe not enough stretching. Maybe to much running yesterday.
OH WELL!
I won’t run today. Let my legs forgive me a little bit.
My goals (I won’t call them resolutions) for 2005 may include but are not limited to the following:

  • 30k Around the Bay
  • Lose my last 12 lbs which may or maynot become 15lbs the closer I get to my goal
  • Incorporate strength training (someone has to help me with that plan)
    CROSS TRAIN
  • make Help my husband finish all his uncompleted jobs in our house
  • Whip Chris’s ass into shape.
  • That’s it for now. NO MARATHON this year…maybe next year. We’ll see.
Everyone have a SAFE and happy New Year’s eve!

Kisses to all at midnight (but not really cause I hate touching people).

Good luck in the ATB - just remember the first 2 thirds is downhill, so save something for the end!

Those 12/15 pounds will melt away this year, Pam. Especially with all that strength training you’ll be doing. Chris Brogan is your man for that.

Have a great New Year’s Eve, Pam. And, uh, no kissing because I saw that unshowered picture.

    PS
Cosmo girl runs? Do all Canadian women run? Wow. :)

Excellent goals. Oooo-weee, that 30k sounds kick butt fine.

Pamalama, yours is a mighty blog, full of spark and inspiration. I was so pleased to have ‘met’ you at the Genuine Party. I wish you all the best for 2005, dollin.

    Peace and love,

Despite not getting a new years kiss, I hope you have a great 2005!

My maternal grandma used to get frustrated with my farmer grandpa for not doing repairs around the house. She found that if she started to do the repair and very obviously did it BADLY, that he would stop what he was doing and “rescue” her… and it would get done “properly”.

What have I learned from this? ;)

I have decided to make running a 5K my goal for the year. I’m not setting my goals very high, am I?
