Oops … one more fond Christmas memory

Troy is getting to the age where he is questioning Santa’s existence. He made this Santa craft on the last day of school, which was basically a styrofoam ball head and a removable hat. He decided to use it to design a scientific test for Santa. Reliable, valid, and just too cute.

Christmas test

Santa came through by indeed putting on the hat, and writing a one-word note back: BELIEVE.

PS: I have no idea why we were rationing Santa on oranges. It’s probably the healthiest choice he was offered all night. (We also left him cookies and eggnog and Kokanee beer, which is apparently his favorite.)

Heh, heh. One year, I left the fireplace door open a little and put ashes on the floor around it. It was the FIRST thing my son spotted when he came downstairs. :)

Sooooo cute!!! We put out cookies and milk and knocked down a bunch of stuff near the fireplace so that it looked “real”. T insisted on making sure the candles in the fireplace weren’t lit, and he was totally obsessed with my mom’s house, which has TWO fireplaces…he couldn’t stop speculating on which one he’d use. I’m so afraid some weenie at school will burst his bubble. I love that he believes!

Happy new year, too.
