…running at 10 p.m. in the light …. no coats, boots, or mitts to organize … being able to ride a bike anywhere …. swimming without bundling up afterwards …. reading on the deck while kids squeal in the sprinkler …. guava, papaya, mango, and pineapple that I don’t have to re-mortgage our home to buy …

It is the best. So right. So where you always want to be in January. Which is why I live in Florida, I guess. It’s like summer most all the time, just not as valued as those of you up north who know adversity. Which way would you prefer it if you had a choice?

I love summer too. Fresh fruit, fresh garden vegetables, lightning bugs, playing children, and warm happy days.
Morning runs as the mist clears and the sun rises are pretty nice too (but only if I’ve slept the night before).
