3. There’s nobody on this path because it’s too bloody cold out here.
4. Is being a wimp genetic or learned?

Great run, and certainly not a wimp!! The wind and the cold sure make it hard to stay motivated. This was the first winter that I actually held up and kept running. There just something about minus temperatures, wind, cold and wet that just make you feel like staying home and playing Yahtzee. But you did it, you overcame the weather, Supergirl lives!

I’ve been paranoid about buying a new pair of gloves as soon as the closeout sales start sometime about December. What the heck is up with stores not having cold weather gear for most of January and February?

No wimp indeed. I HATE running in cold weather, so feel good that you got out there.

Jack: You’ve obviously never played Yahtzee with my kids … eeeek … ;)

Jank: If I wanted a bathing suit, I’d have no trouble. It’s like the buyers at Walmart are all stationed in Honolulu and have no concept of Alberta weather. Go figure.

Susan: I’m (obviously) no fan of the cold either, but around here, I thought I’d better suck it up or I’ll never be ready for my first race in June! (and we’ll probably have a major June snowstorm too, so this is true training! :)

Thanks for the encouragement!

Nice run! To be optimistic, every cold run this time of year has a good chance to be the last one for a LONG time.

funny how thoughts lead to thoughts and so on…neat!

The one that jumped out at me was the “random acts” one. I was just talking about those with someone the other day. Weird. :)

Alright, Beverly! You just perfected the pyschological training for distance runners! Keep the mind occupied with bizarre conversation until the run is over. :)
