Heading to the ortho tomorrow. I will push for an MRI. Usually they want to get their fee for the X-ray first, but X-rays don’t show stress fractures. I don’t want to wait two weeks, only to come back again.
It all feels too familiar. Except this time, I am going to the ortho the day after it happened, not weeks later. Hoping for the best.
Dang. I wish you the best of luck!
GL today! I hope you get some answers as to why the pain is there.
Good Luck, hope your self-advocacy wins the day on the MRI Jon.
I can relate to the whole stress fracture thing. In high schoool I played soccer and also ran track. Switching from the soft surface of the soccer field to an asphalt track was a lot of stress on my legs. I got a stress fracture in my left tibia making it miserable to run. However, instead of going in when I should have I waited til the end of the season and was forced to take the whole summer off. It was miserable. Going in when as soon as it hurts is definitely the right decision. Best of luck.
Good luck with the MRI. Injuries definitely suck. I hope you are able to get back on your feet in no time (and figure out if there is a way to keep it from happening again in the future). My blog: http://www.gottatryit.webs.com
