Feeling fat over here too. My scale gave me the RUDEST surprise a couple of days ago, so I've been trying to eat clean. I give it a week, if that.

I missed a lot of short local races last year because of marathon training - there's gotta be a happy compromise somewhere, right?

ha - if only EVERYONE felt the same way as you do about potato chips! I hardly ever buy them because it's too hard to have "just a few". I stick my hand in the bag randomly and who knows what that adds up to.

I would be worrying about my wheels taking too much abuse more than the organic chips.
Racing during training is problematic most especially when the distance doesn't sync with the training distance and pace for the day. I skipped our Watermelon 5K yesterday to do 5 miles instead. That did not keep me from stopping by the race site and chomping down on some cold watermelon. Mmmmn.

re your comment: Nope, it's not a lottery. I'm waiting to find out about the race route (ie. HILLS)! I'm afraid of hills.
Great job with your 11 miler. Double digit runs means you are a serious runner. :) I loved your comment about the 'organic chips'. :)
