But I've taken the same approach: if they screw it up, just take a pair of scissors and finish it off yourself. My hair is short (about an inch long) so I might have an easier time. When the gal cut my hair, then proceeded to dry the entire mess before even taking a styling brush to it, I knew without looking in a mirror that I looked like Afro-poodle. It's the only time in my life I walked out without paying for the haircut. I've only gotten crankier about stuff like that in the intervening 25 years.
