Missed my 4th Blogiversary

December 22nd was my 4 year Blogiversary. I can’t believe I’ve been typing this stuff for 4 years. I was in college for 4 years and that seemed like an eternity. These last 4 years went by so fast. So very fast.

I dug through the archives and pulled out some of the posts that I liked talking about the most. I wanted to have a quicklist of favorites somewhere so this seemed like a good place.

My first big rant about my old gym - You never forget your first rant. :D

My first 5K - Heh, heh.

Post about my doc’s diagnosis about shin splints - Egads. I had no idea this would carry on for years.

My first half Marathon - A good race. I hope I can get those kind of times again some day.

The ghost story for Lara - I still say there were ghosts

The birth of Ghostrunner - When my the ghost invaded my Forerunner

Complete Running - My first entry after moving to Complete Running

Chocolate Truffles - I loved this post about the truffles. I keep going back to it to verify the recipe

Ding Fries Are Done! - I lost so much karma laughing at this one. :D

Half-flu - Another crazy diagnosis by my former MD

Pneumonia - As if half-flu wasn’t bad enough

Trail 1/2 Marathon - The best half marathon I ever ran, and the race shirt became my lucky race shirt.

Barefoot running - Unfortunately, winter and spit put a stop to this

ABC Warehouse sucks - I get tons of hits for this one. One of my better rants. :D

April Fools - The joke was on all of you because Pam really did write that.

New Haven - First post after meeting the cool New Haven folks for the first time

Detroit Marathon - I still have a hard time reading about it, even though I’ve done a marathon since.

Breastfeeding at the YMCA - This was a really strange entry but it generated alot of discussion offline from the blog.

The Secret - Heh. Yeah.

Huzzah - Funny PM’s from Pam

More Pam torture - I love Pam, really. :)

My trip to the sleep clinic - Heh. I moved before getting the full analysis.

Athlete’s heart - When I found out that my abnormal EKG was normal for people who are abnormal when abnormal is fit

The Anchovy Poem - I don’t know why but it made me laugh out loud to write it

That’s it. I’m sure there are other’s that I liked but these jumped out of the page at me. I hope I continue to blog after the mucky days are behind me. I don’t want to end up a cartoon in a cartoon graveyard dead blog on someone’s dead blog list.

I stumbled on your blog from Runner Susan a few weeks ago & read ALL 4 years worth w/in a few weeks! I’m training for my 1st 10k in April(have done several 5ks in the past year) of this year & even though I would not run a marathon(no desire to put in the time to train for it) your blog is funny & inspiring & makes me ALMOST want to run a marathon.

New Haven was def one of my favorite races ever. You being there made it all worthwhile. Thanks for the memory.

Now get back to some more of that serious humor and ranting.
