Closed out the gym
I decided not to run Wednesday because my right calf is still very sore. I’m thinking something is pulled and not just tired. Grrr. So I wanted to go to the gym and do an hour of cardio but for some reason, they closed the gym on July 4th. Imagine that.
So I went last night again and got there so late I barely squeaked in my hour before they closed. I was the last one in there and the attendant locked the door behind me when I left.
I think I need to be more consistent with the cardio. If I miss a run day, the gym is almost always there and I need to make sure I put an hour in there instead. I felt almost no strain on my calf while doing the machines so I think its a good substitute for running. At least its better than sitting home and eating.
I’m also thinking about not taking so many rest days. I know you need rest from running, but that may not mean sitting on my butt. I used to do cardio every day before I started running. I think having multiple rest days just adds to the fat. Maybe if you are running 40+ a week, you need those days, but for less than 20 I think I can manage to get the cardio in too.
This morning I am hungry even after breakfast. I’m trying to limit the junk during the day, but my body is used to the high number of calories. Mostly because it likes to make fat (but we’re so good at it!). So I think having something more in the morning is a good idea so I don’t feeling clunky before lunch. Maybe some fat free imitation processed cheese food product. MMMMMMmmmm. Faaaaaaake cheeeeeeese.

Oh dear I need to be DOING exactly what you’re talking about! Well maybe not the fake cheese, I’ll do fake yogurt instead.

Real cheese! Specifically 1 ‘tube’ of string cheese. That’s my antidote to wanting 2 or 3 more bowls of cereal.
You might thing about doing some strength training on non-run days, too. More muscle=more fat burning tissue = less fat. Plus, muscles are sexay!

There is hope for Jon. Perhaps scant but it’s growing larger every day, unlike his mid-section.

If you get the “cheese” in the aerosolized can you can spray it directly into your mouth. No utensils required.

I get hungry after breakfast every day — my metabolism must run hot, I guess, because I’m eating more and more and weighing less and less every day. I’m dreading my grocery bills in a few months.
