No news is good news

Nothing much going on.  Work.  Run.  Sleep.  Repeat.

I gave blood on Wednesday so I skipped the speed workout.  I was going to run anyway but got the dire warning from the nurse to “take it easy” the rest of the day.  I probably would have been ok, but I had this fear of passing out on the path and falling face first into dog poop.

They put your BP on your donor card now when they mark the donation date.  110/70, which was down closer to normal for me. It had crept up to 120/78 last time and I didn’t like seeing that.  Usually its under 110 for the top number.  One time it was 98.  The nurse said that was perfectly normal but it sounded kinda low to me.

Oh, and 1 more donation and I get the 13 gallon pin.  Somewhere in the blood donation region transfer I lost a pint.  Oh well.

While running last night I noticed my legs hurt when I run in my regular running shoes, but when I run in trail shoes they don’t.  Maybe I need to switch to flats to get rid of the elevated heel.

Hope all is well in your world.

Hey Jon- thanks for donating blood! It is an important public service!

Was reading through some other blogs today (I know! Don’t worry- not half as fun as yours) and came across this chocolate idea—http://sweetriot.com/

Thought you may have or may want to try it.

Michigan westher- cold! After an 87 degree Tuesday, today is going to top out at about 60. I’m sure you’re not surprised.

    Take care :-)

i appreciate all those individuals who give blood especially after last year when my father needed a few pints to get him back up and running.

You’re my hero in more ways than I can count. I’m hoping I hit 13 some day. Although I’ve no clue how much blood I’ve actually donated, as I’m not borderline OCD about it…

Glad to hear things are settling down your way..

I was going to make a crack about sperm bank donations but I think I’ll just leave it at ‘Nice work on the nearly 13 galloons - that’s really great!’

Lara better watch where she goes on this blog. People are watching you know.
I like your opening where, among the normal things, you include running. Do you realize how significant that is compared to a few months ago?
    Hurrah Jon!

Unfortunately they have trouble getting enough blood out of me for tests let alone to donate. I’m not a good candidate. I wish I had your BP. Mine was 140/90 today…not good.
