Chip and Dale
I think people here don’t like chipmunks. Including the cats. The neighbor’s cat was playing with one in our backyard. When I went to chase him away, he picked it up in his mouth and ran off with it.
Then later my son came screaming into the house saying there was a chipmunk stuck in a trap. I went out back and there is the chipmunk dragging himself across the lawn wearing a rat trap! He was making good time too. I unclipped it and sat there kinda wobbly for a minute then hopped off into the bushes. It was one of those plastic traps that looks like giant binder clip. It had pinched his side so I don’t know if he had any big injuries or not. If he dies, the cat will eat him.

Crazy! I like chipmunks. I think they’re cute. The cat probably won’t eat him. They just like to kill things and then proudly present them to you.

Rats down there must be wimps if a chipmunk can run off with one of their traps.

Did I ever tell you about the time that a chipmunk bit off one of my geriatric client’s fingertips? (shudder) Yeah, I am not a fan.
Go, Cat, Go.

Poor chipmunk. Hope it’s okay. Tough to be a cute little rodent in this world.
