PS: When I read your bit about the smell of ice cream cones, I was completely grinning. I have smelled the box when I scoop my kids and I get that trigger ...

1800 sounds much more reasonable. it's so hard, i feel your pain! make sure you eat HIGH FIBER food, much more filling. i find whenever i consciously try to diet, i can think of nothing but food. try not to deprive yourself of ANY one thing. just try to eat less of things. that might help with cravings.

Okay, my darling, what the hell are you doing eating only 1500 cal/day. You are too tall for such a stupidly small amount of cals. I suggest you eat three well-balanced meals/day with two snacks of veggies or fruit. Cut out all junk, alcohol and white flour carbs (whole grains are okay) and oh yeah exercise 30m/day and drink a lot of water. You will lose weight just by cutting out junk, you can still eat normally. Whateever you do, don't let yourself go to sleep hungry that's just sad.

1800 calories sounds much better than 1500. I eat about 2000 per day, and manage to maintain (I'm 5"6 140lb), so with your male physique/metabolism you should be able to loose weight with 1800. Yay for tuna sandwich - great choise!

I so would have opted for the ice cream cone over a can of tuna! Now that's will power.
Good Luck and keep making healthy choices!
