"Its been there since early 1800’s, although some of the land has been sold off now to build houses."
Sigh, I hate that!
There is a dairy farm in my town that was about to be turned into a 20 house lot division, but the town raised money and saved the land for agriculture reasons Only! I love that!

The title of your post made me think of A Flock of Seagulls and that stupid song is running through my head now. I am punishing you by envisioning your hair gelled up in that silly pompadour with horns.

Say....you look kinda hot that way.

you know, when they sell off all the property and the cows are all gone, all the employees of the businesses will take their place, thinking, "look! there he is again. what an idiot!" hehe

We have a load of dairy farms in our area and my husband always mentions how the cows watch us when we run by. We were even chased by some of them!

Quick COBRA story - getting out of the Navy, the wife and I do the calculation - COBRA until we get covered under the new job is going to cost quite literally an arm and a leg. We're both healthy, the baby's been to his 6 month checkup and isn't due again until 1 year, so we decide to forego COBRA in favor for three months of big deductable catastrophic coverage at about an eighth the cost.

Two weeks before real insurance kicks in again - I get bit by a poisonous snake and spend three days in the ICU. Getting the temporary policy to pay was a PITA.

Although, in hindsight, it still ended up being cheaper.

COBRA is awesome! It is a law, not a company. You may have a crappy COBRA provider but the fact that you are entitled to keep health insurance at group rates is a lucky thing, indeed. Have you ever looked at what it costs to get health insurance as an individual? Not good. So don't worry - be happy. The bills will get paid and it will cost you much less than if you didn't get coverage under COBRA.

Hope you get into your house soon!

"I always wondered what the did with the milk..."

My father, a retired dairy farmer, would have fun with you - he loves picking on "city slickers". His neighbor once allowed a couple men from NY City to go deer hunting on his land - they shot a cow thinking it was a deer...

Good job on the run, keep it up!
