10 miles on the trail, no rescue
I did my 10 miles today on the trails again. Nobody to rescue this time. There were tons of people out there. I passed my doctor who was out there walking with a friend. She was about 5 miles away from the parking lot so she had been doing ok. If she took the shortcut it was only 3. Still a long way for her.
There were lots of hunters too. One guy shot at something when he was about 50 yards away from me. I asked him if he got it but he said he missed. I forgot to ask him what he was shooting at. Remind me to wear my orange hunter hat next weekend.
My right calf had this horrible cramp last night and its nagging me now after running. The hills on the trails really work my calves and make my achilles ache a bit as well.
Not much else to talk about. Hope all the racers this weekend do well!

It sounds like your long runs are falling back into place without *too* much pain, Jon. Are you still stretching like a good boy???

Yes, please make sure to wear your hunter hat if you go back next weekend! I think I’d be too nervous to run around hunters, the gunfire would be scary. But then, I’m pretty suburban.

Would you like one of my neon pink vests to wear. Hunters will notice you for sure then. :-)

a bright orange vest would probably be a good idea too.

Wow, 10 miles - Better man than me, Jon…

Great job!! The hunters would freak me out too much to run there! Is it really safe for him to be hunting so close to the trail??
