Lots of folks racing today.
In the Chicago Marathon (They’re off! Did I really do that? Its tomorrow. Doh!):
Wil
Ali
Mouse
Susan
A giant mass of people from the Taper Madness running forum too!
In the Hartford Marathon/Half Marathon (already on the run, I think!)
Dianna
April Anne
Susan
Michelle
Sarah
I think Audrey has a 10K today, but she was very cryptic about where it starts. ;)
Marshall is walking 57.5 miles of a 100 mile race walk to support a friend doing the full race, so he’ll be racing all night tonight.
Sarah is running in the Greensboro Half Marathon (I hope you went, Sarah!)
Rachel ran a 5K today too (and she PR’d! Yea, Rachel!) :)
Did I miss anyone racing today?
Wow! Good luck to all!
Hey,, must be a great weekend to race,, wishing them all a great run!!
Heather
Thanks for the race rundown. It was pouring buckets of rain for the CT marathoners this weekend :( Hope it didn’t effect their times too much. Loved the previous blog about the pink m&ms.
Wow that’s a lot of racers. This is my weekend of no racing. My next one is this Friday.
ok, you’re going to kill me, but i didn’t do the race :) HOWEVER – i did PR on my own personal 10K: 49:50, or 8:00/mi pace, on saturday. yes, i had paid, but i had worries about doing the race anyway because my training plan called for an 8-15K tuneup, not a half! and then the rain . . .yeah, so i don’t regret it. plus, since i didn’t race 13.1 saturday, i was able to run 17 this morning :) i’m not THAT lazy, right? thank you for your encouragement though — next time i promise i’ll do what you say!
thx jon!!! and i am still working on race packet pickup location for tomorrow…i’ll get on that soon and hopefully have some luck! enjoy your weekend!
David (adventures in the thin trade) pr’ed in his Disney 10k this morning! Man. Busy weekend! I can’t wait to hear how it went in Chicago. And you and Dawn are coming up in Detroit. runrunrun :)
Oohhh..running and chocolate. Do the two really go together :) Ha!
How is your taper going? Great job on the 20 miler!
Awwww, thanks Jon! You were in MY head all the way, carrying me during miles 12 and 13. So much fun. When I can walk again, I’ll let you know:) The ITB seemed ok, but everything other muscle and tendon seemed to fall apart, probably because I was favoring the knee. Ah well. It’s all good!!
THANKS, JON! You’re so great!
Thanks for the shout-out and the tons of links! I’m going to obsess about reading all their race reports now! There’s nothing better than a marathon rundown!
