Two thoughts related to New Haven
1. I had a time of 1:43 and change. That was for 12.4 miles (20K). If I had run .7 miles more, it would have been a half marathon. Even if I add on 9 minutes for that .7 miles, it would have made it 1:52 for the 1/2. That would have been a PR by 7 minutes. Whoa. I need to run with the RBF more often.
2. RBF folks, the night before the race, suggested that I store my ground flaxseed in the fridge to keep it from going rancid. I do that now and I noticed that my breakfast cereal with flaxseed no longer has that nasty bitter taste that burns my throat. Whoa. I may do the same thing with the milk.

I dunno, refrigerating the milk might be taking it too far. Damn, that’s an impressive time, Jon!

Glad to hear that your flax seed tastes better :-) What did you do with the rancid stuff? Make truffles for your enemies??

Milk in the fridge? That’s just obsessive. No throat-burning is a good thing though.

That is an amazing time on the hypothetical half marathon. Really good…do you think it had anything to do with putting the flaxseed in the fridge or is that pure coincidence?
