A good hour of cardio

I did my hour of crosstraining at the gym today. My hip is still sore from the long run but the stretching and workout helped a bit. I made sure I had the speed up high enough on the machines today so my HR was around 150-160. When I first got on the stepper, it was kinda low so I cranked it way up to get what I needed.

Not much else going on today.

I just ordered my new running accesory. My ultrasonic dog repeller. I’m totally tired of being chased and charged by stupid dogs. I’ll give it a try soon and let you know what happens. I’m very sure I’ll get chased again soon. In case anyone is interested in something like this, I bought mine from here. I was also looking at the stuff on this site, because they had things to deter the neighbor’s dog, but that hasn’t been an issue lately for some reason.

Hope you all had a good weekend.

I am really scared of dogs and have often wondered if there is something like that available. I even asked at a pet shop but nothing?? I am about to check out the site..thanks for the link

I read the description for the dog-repeller: ” It emits an ultrasonic blast to startle the dog to make it stop doing what ever it is doing and pay attention to you.” I wonder if this works with the dog OWNERS! Just wondering…

Hey Jon, thanks for the story and the links regarding the dogs. It’s not a huge problem where we live, but when I travel, there are often dogs that I am of course not familiar with so I don’t know if they are a threat or not. I’ll be checking these links out.

Freakin’ dogs, I hope you’re new gadget stops them in their tracks. Good job on doing the 12 miles in your previous post.

first of all, great stuff on the meme. I especially like the comment about going shirtless…

Now: That guy holding the fish really DOES look like Shaggy from Scooby-Doo! That’s GOTTA be YOU right?!?!?!?

If it is, that’s WAY cool!!!!

I’m glad I haven’t had this issue yet. As much as I love dogs, I sure don’t want one running after me. Hope the stuff works for you Jon.

I can’t wait to hear an update about the dog repeller. I’m sick to death of ankle-biters chasing after me for blocks on end (although it does usually end with me getting fired up and having a great race time.) Congrats on the 12-miler!

Is the ultrasonic dog repellent a big heavy club? Let you double up & get some resistance in there with the CV.

Or maybe you could train some bears to run with you. That would be pretty cool.
