I'm glad to hear someone else say the second one was a dud. I finished halfblood prince this past weekend. I thought it was sort of like a really good set before the spike in volleyball. I like the fact that they've gotten more focused on the central struggle as they've gone along but will be sad when the last one is out and I've read it.

Speaking of superpowers; would you take flying or invisibility?

I'm glad to know that I'm not the only guy who was tied up with this.

The biggest sense of loss i'm feeling is knowing there is only one more story left to be told...

My 12 y.o. son just finished it last night, so now I get to read it :) It's a requirement of parenting a boy his age - aren't I lucky? I'm always sad when I finish a good book like hers, because I miss the world I've been visiting. It's like coming back from an adventurous vacation.

I think I'm the only person on earth who hasn't read any HP. And Randy Jackson was at Run Hit Wonder yesterday, and I was like, is he a country star? (I guess he's from American Idol). Yikes.
