Argh.
I had so much to write about. Running. Tags. Stuff. Even philosophical stuff.
I’m just too disgusted with everything else to say anything. Today everything really sucks, and very likely, things are going to suck for quite some time. Things will not suck so bad for about a month, then they are going to suck pretty bad. Then by two months they will be about as sucky as they are going to get.
My hope is that things will pick up after that. Can’t give more details for a while yet.
So, this is a warning that there will some very dark postings here for quite some time.
Good news? Tomorrow is finally thursday and I’m going to eat so much chocolate, that my head will explode. And wouldn’t that just suck.

Jon, I’m sorry about the suckitude. I hate it when things suck. Does it help that you know suckiness is on its way, or does it make it worse? Chocolate is good. Don’t eat too much though, or it will suck…

uh oh that doesn’t sound good… i hope its not too bad whatever it is! i’m afraid to look!
July 7th, 2005 01:16
I don’t mind reading about times that suck because it makes me feel better in a strange way…comforted that someone else’s life is complicated at times, too. We are pulling for you, of course.

I stocked the chocolate shelf, dusted off the couch, Dr. Jack is ready to listen! Hang in there dude, you’ve got the RBF team on standby!

Hmm. I have an odd feeling I’m about to exit the dark place you’re entering…Words of encouragement: One learns to appreciate things more when they are threatened or taken away, and difficulties have a tendency to make one stronger and gain more perspective on life. Hang in there!

i am just glad you aren’t being mysterious :) i imagine the marathon training and race will be a triumph for you so i hope that is something to look fwd to amongst all of the other life drams. take care up north and hopefully you will pass through the yuckiness with minimal damage…

PS. bloggers are too happy…i think we all need a little more color in our posts :) …so bring on the darkness…
July 7th, 2005 06:54
hey jon…jack is right…the rbf is here regardless of highs or lows so let it fly. sorry …..I’m thinking about you.
July 7th, 2005 08:20
Ditto Susan and Jack’s sentiments…we are here for you :-) Hang in there and know that we are thinking of you. And chocolate is a cure-all :-)

Uh-oh…that really sucks. But you know, the worse it sucks, the way cooler things will be when the suckiosity is no longer a factor. Look on the brightside, look at how many incarnations of “suck” have been born out of just this one post. You’re a pioneer. The pioneer of suck. Come on, you know you’re smiling now…:) Just need a few of those a day and the suck will be be gone before you know it. Hang in there, pioneer!

you’ll have to change your name from ‘jon in michigan’ to ‘hoover’.
hang in there, and to echo everyone else, i’m ready and willing to listen. give me a holler if you want to rant out of the public eye.
July 7th, 2005 10:22
Take care Jon. I am wishing you the best and sending all the positive vibes I can. Lean on us.
July 7th, 2005 10:39
Aaw. I hate it when things suck.
I recommend 2 chocolates at bedtime and start a new blog called “Suckology”.
Hang in there.
July 7th, 2005 10:40
hang in there- chocolate is good. I hope whatever is going on, that you can still find some un-suckiness in blogland- whether is be venting for us to read, or reading our tales of woe.

Sorry to hear about the negative stuff coming down the line. Life is like that but it’s no fun when you are going through it. I always try to remember that the bad stuff helps me to appreciate the good stuff that much more but it’s a shallow comfort when you are dealing with it.
Keep running. I find that helps me, even when I’m tired and stressed. Or perhaps especially when I’m tired and stressed.

It is worse to know that something is about to suck rather than it taking you by suprise. You have sucky days leading up to the suck, and that really sucks. I am sorry to hear that your going to be in such turmoil, just know that we are pulling for you.
ps chocolate can always make you feel better for a little while
July 7th, 2005 16:56
Upon first reading this, I thought you might post a “suck-o-meter” on the blog to keep us updated. But on a more serious note, I echo everyone else in saying that we’re here for the listening and the chocolate. Take care.
July 7th, 2005 20:17
Oh no, it must really suck for you to post like this Jon. I hope it will all be okay after the two months and I hope you loved every single chocolate eating second!
July 7th, 2005 20:39
Yikes. My grandpa used to say that if you see 10 worries coming down the road, nine of them will fall into the ditch before they reach you. In other words, I truly hope that worrying about the sucking is worse than when the actual sucking commences. And when it sucks mightily, I won’t turn away.
July 7th, 2005 21:20
Yep, I’ll just repeat what everyone else has said. We’re all here for you and we hope it doesn’t suck as much as you’re preparing yourself for. We can’t make it go away, but we’ll cheer you on and boo the cause of the suckiness!
July 8th, 2005 00:14
Hang in there. Things will get better!
July 8th, 2005 23:22
Listen to Mia’s grandpa. That man had some smarts. Most crap is imagination running wild in the streets of ignorance and the unknown.
Conversely, if you know exactly how crappy things are going to be, then be proactive and beat the suckiness to the punch. You’re always better off making the first move. (The refs always call the foul on the retaliater). Anyway, we’re always here for you almost (but not quite) as much as you are for us.
