Taper madness!
Just wanted to give a quick shout out to the folks at www.tapermadness.org. Runners from all over have started up a new running forum which will eventually be at www.tapermadness.org, but for now you can get to them at www.tapermadness.com.
Most of these folks have come from the DoitSports forum and Training Peaks. They were looking for their own home with an upgraded forum system. Taper Madness was what they came up with. Lots of good people in there, lots of strangeness, and always good helpful advice. I’ve met a couple of them (and they still talk to me). If you want more advice for training, or running, or injuries, or marathon stuff, or shoes, or even just to blab about running, you should go have a look and see if they can help you.
You do know about Taper Madness, right? When you are dying to go out and run your brains out during the taper as you come close to the marathon? Obsess about weather reports? Worry about shoes, clothing, and everything else? Haven’t had it yet, but I’m really looking forward to it! :D
Anyway, go check out www.tapermadness.org (linked to the right place I hope) and go look at the forums. Things are very new and construction is underway. Register and post or just lurk and read for a while. Last count I saw 62 members.

It’s funny how everyone gets taper madness. I had it too. It gets smooshed together with injury paranoia and weather info-related OCD. It’s fun but not fun.

oh goody!! I lurve runners forums… thanks for that Jon.
I can’t wait to experience the whole taper madness thing but for now I will settle for reading about it =)
