Dianna was nice enough to share a truffle with me. It have to say, that was the best truffle I have ever had!!! It was heavenly! If I was in your family I would surely weigh 500 pounds! :)

I typically run on a very busy trail, and see many, many people even as early as 6 am. Usually they are all flying by me as a chug along. If I do pass someone, it is cause for celebration! When I do get out on the road it is always nice to get away from all of the people.

You got a wave from another runner?! Lucky you! Was she good looking? My city is full of runners all running about ignoring each other. I’m kind of over it now, but I had to speak to my priest about it back there.

That’s weird, I hardly ever see other runners either. I see walkers, and bike riders, but mostly not runners. If I’m running around one of the lakes in my area, I’ve seen some runners, because there’s one main path around each body of water. But just general practice, out and about, not so much. I was driving to my mom’s house last night, and there was a runner coming towards me, on one of my routes I used when I was training for the half. I just sat staring at him until somebody honked at me! So, yeah, I guess it is a little unusual, even in health-conscious California, to randomly see people trucking along.

Do you live in an isolated area, is it too cold or just no other runners? I have only passed one or two in the 18 months I have been running. Actually they all passed me, but I saw them…that’s what I meant to say!

I NEVER, EVER see another runner. Maybe a rabbit, coyote but another runner would cause me to stop and ask him/her what planet they were from. You’ll be doing fine by the way!!

I’m glad you got to squeeze in a run. And even though I’ve been running for awhile, I still find myself unconsciously holding in my breath when I pass other runners. Perhaps so I can hear them over my gasping if they so happen to want to hold a conversation?.. I know, I’m a weirdo.

Sorry you’re been having such a hard time lately. Hope things get better soon!
