ABC Warehouse STILL sucks!

Thanks for all the comments on how ABC Warehouse totally sucks and acted like a bunch of irresponsible lazy jackasses.

In case anyone is still wondering, I did accept the dishwasher. Too soft when it comes to sad sacks being humble and smelling like manure. They didn’t deserve it, but I figured bad karma is a boomerang and it will come back to bite them eventually.

I would like to go back to the store and tell the manager to his bald headed face when his loser delivery people showed up. I hate to waste a another day of my precious weekend doing it though. Its all the way into Ann Arbor. I think have some groceries to get there so maybe I will make the trip. Need to leave the kid at home though so I can be beligerant and not have interferance. Although, having my son run around the store and put his sticky fingers all over the new appliances would be kinda funny too.

Either way, I will NEVER buy anything from that stupid store again. If you are heading to Ann Arbor, Michgan to buy appliances or stereos or TV’s, let me say that if you buy it from ABC Warehouse and have it delivered, you may be VERY sorry. I was. They suck. Totally.

And by the way, the phone is now working, the lawmower is running again, and I’m going to buy a new charger for my cell phone today. I’m hoping nothing else decides to explode in the house this week. I promise to talk NICELY about the ghosties while inside the house too.

Aside from that frustrating experience, I had a reasonable week while my folks were here. I got in some running. Tuesday I got in 5 miles (8:24 pace) which was faster than I wanted. Maybe it was because I hadn’t been out in a while and I was ready for a speedier run.

Thursday I did my 35 minute tempo run at the park, which was Ok. I had a hard time judging my pace but overall the ramp up was good. I did a .25 mile jog barefoot to cool down afterwards and it really felt good. But, uh, lots of people spit on the track so you need to watch your step.

This AM I did 4 miles (8:15 pace) which was close to the 8:30 I was shooting for. Just a beautiful morning too! Sunny, 60F, birds a chirpin’. It was nice to wear shorts and a shortsleeve shirt and not feel like I was freezing.

I noticed this AM that my left foot has a hard time not landing on the heal. Its wierd. The right one is hitting fine but the left I really need to concentrate and almost exaggerate the motion to get it to strike correctly. Wierd. That’s the one that has the sore shin today too.

Tomorrow I have my 5 mile long run which I want to do on the trails at the park. I’d like to keep a trail run in once a week as long as I can. If I could do some of my long runs on the trails it would be great. I think it builds my stamina and helps all those stabilizing muscles. The softer ground may be better for my legs too. We’ll see how I’m holding up when the marathon mileage builds.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

Next time you need to buy appliances or furniture, drive out to Tecumseh and go to Martin’s Home Center. They are honest and have great service and prices.

I love trail running. The only thing to be aware of?are those pesky tree roots that pop out of nowhere, grab your ankles, and pull you down! :)

Whoa. The ghostie stuff freaks me out. Very cool!

Given the circumstances with the dishwasher, I think you did the right thing. You got to spend the next day with your parents. And, via your blog and word of mouth, you can caution other people about your experience… and YES affect their business in a significant way.

What a crappy thing man - they had you in a bad spot and you did what you had to do. My Bronx father-in-law would say “what’re ya gonna do?” And regarding the bats’ menu - let’s just say I’d prefer to stay off of it!

First of all, you smell like manure. And you were right to say that these guys are just trying to make a delivery. Maybe instead of buying dishwashers you should pay a shrink to cure your spoild-ness. We all have jobs to do so get over yourself.
