Crosstraining

Saturday, October 30th, 2004

I did my hour of crosstraining today. I don’t think the shins are ready to run yet. I want them to get as close to completely healed as possible because they just aren’t going to get better while I am running. So I did 20 minutes on the bike and 40 minutes [...]

Not time to run yet.

I downloaded Mozilla Firefox from the web and am using that to browse now.

I hate my computer.

I have a Lexmar Jumpdrive and the damn USB ports (for some insane reason) only recognize it for 15 seconds.

I need a goal!

Thursday, October 28th, 2004

Ok, so the half marathon is over and while my legs are returning to full strength (maybe I’ll get lucky and they actually will this time), I need to find another goal. Without it, I’m spinning helplessly and not going to motivate myself.

So here’s what I am looking at so far:

elbow

Thursday, October 28th, 2004

My left elbow has become very dry and chapped. Its very odd. I’ve been putting hand lotion, vaseline and even chapstick on it to soften it up again. I coudn’t figure out why just that elbow. As I was sitting at the computer one day, surfing the web, I realized what [...]

This morning I was practicing my [...]

The day after the day before.

I spent yesterday at home, finally giving in to the cold I had been fighting all week. My throat was on fire and felt like I had been drinking hot coals. Fever. Full sinuses. And more pain in my legs than I can remember.
After my first half I think I had [...]

The road to hell is paved with mud.

Just in case you were wondering. ;)
What a great race! I want to die now.
My wife had put “Go Daddy Go!” signs all over the house last night while I was sleeping. She and my son weren’t going to be able to go to the race so she wanted to wish me [...]

I’m up! I’m up!

Sunday, October 24th, 2004

Actually I was up at 4 AM. My back prefers no more than 7 hours of sleep. If I try to go over this, it creates muscles spasms so painful, I can’t help but get up. I’ve tried all kinds of different types of matresses and nothing seems to help. F%$%ing [...]
