Wow, that sucked

I ran 3.0 miles, which is actually according to the schedule but it really sucked. My legs were so sore. Lots of pain and aches. Major dead legs. Pain that didn’t feel like sore muscles. It felt like my bones hurt. It was awful. I ran it slow, 10:00 pace, and it was really really bad.
Your slow is my fast! I’m running 11′s and 12′s and 13′s regularly.
Jon, I was having the same kind of deep aches until the other day and then they just dissappeared. I think it’s barometric pressure. I seem to be very sensitive to changes in air pressure. Ever thought of that?
tracy – And those 11:00′s are what I should be running for the long runs, but I’m being stupid and I don’t. That pace is building endurance, which is what I need for a marathon (if I don’t fall apart first).
mark – I don’t know but it never hurt like that before. I think I can’t run more than 52 miles in a month or I explode.
This from the “handbook of running”: Exploding not good. Please avoid exploding while running.
My longest run ever so far was 90 minutes, and I just about killed myself. Plus, that was the turning point from cotton to lycra. Got on the phone with Marathon Dad and he scolded me about going too far on my first long run. Ow ow ow. T’was a loooong week sitting in my cubicle chair, muscles tightening every time I sat for too long.
