4.0 miles on the ‘mill

I ran my 4.0 miles tonight at the gym. 6.5 MPH (9:14 pace). It wasn’t too bad considering I haven’t run in a week and have been eating poorly since a week ago monday. I also did the lower body weight training. Looking at my plan for the week, I mixed up the days. I guess tomorrow I’ll do my two miles and upper body stuff.

Not much else to say today, except I was thinking about Paula Radcliffe while running tonight. She’s one of my heroes because she’s an amazing runner and has suffered from shin splints too. Broke my heart to see her lose in the olympics.

Onward, Paula.

Glad to see I’m not the only one hitting the treadmills today. Er, yesterday. Whenever.

God I HATE shin splints. I think I might post about them. Cause you know, I still have shin pain…

I think I’m gonna start an on-line gimmick with a catch line as follows: “Get rid of shin-splints forever in 30 minutes or less a day. Send $20 for our program!”

Once I have the money, I will send people instructions to keep running 30 minutes a day until they go away.

    I AM a BASTARD ain’t I?!?!?!

Seriously, they are terribly painful and troubling. Hang in there. As I’ve said before, I suffered for better than a year.
