TGIF!

Been a rough week at work and I am dead tired from lack of sleep. They want me to work the weekend too. Holiday weekend. We don’t get overtime pay, but sometimes we get an equivalent number of days off during the week. Without authorization though, I get nothing. Manager is out on vaca and I haven’t heard a word from his boss. No call, no work. Well, that’s easy to say but then again, its hard to say “no” and look like I’m not being a “team player”.

Running at the gym last night I could feel the effects of weight lifting on Wed. My shins were sore and my hams were sore and I was just dragging. Oddly enough, my heart rate never went over 153. Go figure. 3 miles, 6:00 pace.

I have another week to go before the race, and its a setback week which I think I need anyway. I’ve been tempted sometimes to pick up the pace during the weekday runs, but I need to keep in mind that this is recovery time and not formal training yet for the marathon. Training starts in a little over a week!

Rest day. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
