Mmmmmm, sushi!

3.0 mile run on the treadmill, 10:00 pace. I had no soreness at all from the shins. I’m pretty surprised because it was a day after weight training. Very nice. Can’t tell you how pleased I am to run without pain. Maybe something’s working :)

Ofcourse, this morning everything is sore. Shins, legs, pecs, arms. Its the 48 hour pain from killing myself on weights. That’s ok! I ate sushi!

Got together with a friend from out of town and two new friends from in town at a little sushi place not far from work. Its been a while since I had it and believe me, I had missed it alot. It was a nice mix of protein, carbs, and omego-6 fatty acids (or is it omega-3’s?). Plus the wasabi kills any viruses lingering in your body waiting to cause illness ;) Unfortunately, I didn’t get to bed until 3AM.

I also found a dollar store nearby that had Ace-type bandages for a buck. Actually, everything in there was a buck, ofcourse. The first time I saw one of these stores it was in NC and it was called “Everything’s a Dollar”. My roommate in grad school used to call it “All This Crap’s a Dollar”. Once when my car’s alternator broke he told me I could probably pick one up at “Everything’s a Hundred Bucks”.

Anyway, nice cheap Ace-type bandages come in handy for wrapping sore shin with an ice pack. They get a little worn out after a while so it good to have a couple. Plus, I can keep one at work now to ice while I’m sitting at my desk.

Today is rest day. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
