A marvelous night pumping iron
Did the full shot of weights tonight. Upper, lower, shins, abs. Didn’t get too much of the “bonk” feeling. When I felt it starting I went and took a short break (maybe 5 minutes) and got a power gel from my bag (they are expiring in a month anyway). Went up on everything again. Some more than others. I think I am at a good point. Tomorrow I will be punished ;)
Tomorrow is cross training. I’ll do the full mix of steppers, stepmill and bike (maybe rower instead), and I like a full hour.
My shin had little twinges during the day today but no pain to walk even downstairs. After tonights shin/calf lifts it might be sore tomorrow so I’m icing it right now. The right one has been no problem, which is kinda funny because that was the one that gave me so much trouble for so long and then a week of light stuff before the race and it was cured. Maybe I’ll get lucky for the left one as well.
I registered for the Dexter-AA 5K run on June 6th. It finishes up my pre-marathon training. Then the full training begins. I had to make more changes to the plan at the beginning to give me the smoothest transition.
