Rest and food!

All the talk in Higdon’s book and on the V-board about food makes me think about food all day long. Talking about needing to eat more, and eat your pasta, and try the gummy sharks, and get some Gu, or power gel, and gatorade/accelerade/I-need-to-pee-from-drinking-all-this-stuff-ade. Now I just want to eat everything in the whole damn house! I’m gonna gain 10 pounds just waiting for Saturday!

Today was my designated rest day. Good idea. Shins hurt. They need a break. I walked (very lightly) around the track tonight. No strain, just a light sloooooow walk. I also got a 10 minute back/shoulder/neck/arm massage. It hurt a little but generally felt really good.

15 minutes in the hot tub while reading Higdon’s book. I just let the lower legs soak so I wouldn’t get the book wet.

Tomorrow is the real rest day so that means movie night.

I don’t like my running pants. They are silk and light but much too big. I want cool running pants, but I don’t have time to buy some and I need to try them on Saturday. Damn.
