Totally screwed up now
Ok, its been almost a week. Here’s what happened.
I got sick, then I got sick and damn if I didn’t get sick again. If I could stop getting whatever this fever-sore throat-stuffy nose-body ache sickness thing is, then I could get me butt to the gym. Sick last Sat and Sun. then ran my long run (6 miles!) on Monday. Sick Tues and Wed.
Feeling better today but still a little weak. My leg is hurting again. There’s a painful spot along the inside of the right calf, right on the bone. I think there’s even some swelling. I’ve been icing it and taking aspirin (anti-inflammatory). Last night I did the hot soak in tub and that seemed to help too.
No running now at all until after the 5K on Saturday. I think I’ll need the time to make sure its healing. Upper body stuff for weights.
You know, I had no idea that training was so hard. Not just being able to put in the miles, but just being able to finish the training without killing yourself.
