Back on track again!
Ok, Friday was rest day (yeah!), Saturday I did 40 minutes of crosstraining, consisting of stairmaster and the Gauntlet, then Sunday I did my 4.0 mile run.
The long run was harder than last time. I get getting this cramp/muscle spasm on my right leg. If I stopped and swatted for 10 sec, it would go away for about a mile. I’m hoping I won’t need to do that 13 times during the half.
Next cross training session, I’m going to add rowing. I need something different and rowing was always a good overall cardio workout for me.
I picked up an armband radio (another one?). Sony. The other one had a manual tuner which was so crappy you couldn’t pick up any station. You couldn’t turn the wheel slowly enough to stop on a station. Digital is the only way to go, especially with preset stations.
Problem on the horizon: I’m working this weekend. That means I can’t go to the gym Sat or Sun AM. Saturday can be switched with Friday, I think. Sunday is harder. The kids center at the gym is only open in the AM. I might get out of work early enough to go to the gym at night. Maybe I’ll get lucky and the boss will kill these projects this week :)
