Rest day!
Friday is rest day! Did I mention that Friday is my favorite day?
Yesterday I did 3.0 miles, 1% grade, 6.0 mph. I had to use one of the crappy treadmills because the gym was packed with New Year’s resolution people and all the little college kids who were shocked to go home over Christmas and find out that drinking beer and eating crap all year has made them fatter. The junky treadmills only raise the grade in 1% increments. Since today was not supposed to be as fast of a run as the long days, I went with the lower grading.
I also had to do strength training too. I cut back the normal routine quite a bit because Hal says not to overdo it this week. Plus (for reasons mentioned above) it was a real pain to get on any equipment. Usually by April the crowds thin out quite a bit.
Tomorrow: 30 minutes cross training. Another easy day ;)
