Maybe I should have done cross training instead.

Missed posting last night. I ran 2.0 miles instead of crosstraining (option day). This morning I am damn tired, I don’t know why. Tonight I have 3.0 miles and strength. I’m thinking the crosstraining might have been better last night.

A young woman was running next to me last night. She started at the same time and was running at the same pace (in step most of the way). I had seen her there before and she’s pretty fit. I’m thinking “Hey, we do our workout at the same pace. I must be doing pretty well.” We both stopped at the same time too. I was done. I mean done. The funny thing was, she was doing her run as a warm up! I think she was headed to Spinning class next. 3 days into training and I’ve already set my expectations a little too high. OK, J, please come back down and join the rest of the world in reality.

When the heck am I supposed to eat protein? If I eat it at lunch, I get a side stitch when I run at 5pm. I’m supposed to eat carbs after the workout. Do I eat it for breakfast? A late night snack? I think I need 200 grams a day, which is like two small chicken breasts.

I forgot my vitamins yesterday. I think that was the problem :)
