Training has begun!

Ok, I missed a couple days of posting…

Sunday I ran 2.5 miles. No sweat. Piece o’ cake. The shin pain seems to have taken a break for now. I spent extra time stretching and maybe that is helping.

Monday was stretch/strength day. I use these days for upperbody work mostly, but yesterday I did legs too. I’m thinking that this is not going to work out as the long runs get longer because I’m going to need a rest after the run. I may need to move the leg strength lifting to another day. I need to look at Higdon’s charts again and see the descriptions.

I’ve added some more running links. A few are from first time marathoner’s and there’s a bb also (the V-board??) where Higdon moderates. TONS of good information there from other runners. Although, a lot of it is conflicting so you need to sort the wheat from the chaff, as it were. Loved the thread where Higdon blows a gasket because people are being jackasses and flaming each other. Then they flamed him for blowing a gasket!
