Book Review: Runners’ Cookbook

runnerscookbookcover.jpgAlison Wade, a staple author and editor of the running community, has put together a collection of recipes from some of the sports most well-known athletes. Aside from the novelty of being able to make Dick Beardsley’s French Toast or Josh Cox’s Green Enchiladas is the knowledge that purchasing one of these cookbooks is contributing to some pretty worthy causes. All proceeds from the sale of the book go toward the Ryan Shay Memorial Fund and the Jenny Crain “Make It Happen” fund.

Here’s what Alison has to say about the book:

The Runner’s Cookbook features 100 recipes from 90+ contributors, including Joan Benoit Samuelson, Sebastian Coe, Shalane Flanagan, Adam and Kara Goucher, Ryan and Sara Hall, Deena Kastor, Craig Mottram, Dathan Ritzenhein, Khadevis Robinson, Alan Webb, and many others. All of the proceeds from the sales of this book will be
donated to the Ryan Shay Memorial Fund and the Jenny Crain “Make It Happen” Fund.
