I took the picture at the InterCounties Cross Country Championships, 2008. My partner was running in the event. I think the photo was for the U15 boys race, specifically.

The event was held at Wollaton Park, Nottingham.

Technically, it was taken using a Canon 400D, with Sigma 17-70 lens, then post processing done using Photomatix, to achieve a higher dynamic range, which was then tone mapped down to a JPEG.

Thanks for your kind comments. I’m just back from London so will add the better ones to the pool, as well. It wasn’t a good day for running photography though, with the rain, hail and crazy crowds
