Photo of the Week: Paris in the spring
March 3, 2008 |
Back in Sept 2006 I featured an excellent photo of the huge crowd running the Paris Marathon. The 42.2km route takes you from Champs Elysees Ave to Voche Ave and some where in there right past the Eiffel Tower.
Interestingly enough the first Paris Marathon was held in July 1896 with 191 runners. This week’s featured photo was taken during the April 2007 Marathon where the crowd of runners was more likely about 35,000. Paris in the spring, perhaps that should be on my “to run” list.
Thanks go to Jill Peat Hall for this great photo. Check out her other interesting photos on her Flickr site.
