Photo of the Week: Mud Puddles

May 28, 2007 | Tags:

Some people try to avoid puddles when running, but I think this runner has a better idea. Who says you have to be a kid to have fun?

So when you see a puddle, tell us,

  • do you run around it,
  • try to leap over it and almost fall back in,
  • run quickly through it trying not to splash,
  • or pretend to be 5-years-old and jump in like this runner?

This week’s photo comes to us courtesy of Kathy and the Calgary Roadrunners. It was taken during the Fish Creek X-Country Race March 2007.

We are always looking for interesting photos so if you’ve got a photo you would like featured, please leave a comment with the details.

    Fun pic Dawn! :)
    I would do 1 or 4. Most times 1 though :(
I did run along the beach in Maui barefoot and at some places the waves were almost waist high and I kept running through it. It was sooo fun.

During a race I would definitly run through it or jump it depending on the width, however during training I usually try and go around it.

I had no choice but run through them this morning due to heavy rain at the 2oK Memorial Day race at White Rock Lake in Dallas, Texas. I usually try to run around because I hate to get my feet soaking wet.

Got something to say?
