I Couldn’t Have Said It Better Myself

I have run 3 marathons and I only wish I had watched this video before each of them. This is one woman’s description of her though and feelings as she runs her first marathon.

About 21stCenturyMom

I found myself at the age of 38 the single full time working mother of 3 small children. I took up running because I figured I could get the biggest benefit in the least amount of time. Swearing never to run a marathon I found myself going out for a 4 - 6 mile run several times a week. I ran my first marathon 6 years later. Five years after that I ran another and then the next year another. Then I got bit by the triathlon bug so now I split my time between running, swimming and cycling. This year I think I'll run another marathon. And next year - who knows?

Awesome video!! Really captures the pace and the feelings well back in the pack where most of us live. Could be required viewing for marathon-wannabe-ers!!

Wow. I like this young woman’s attitude. Especially her approach to hills. Something tells me she’s going to go far in life. Thanks for sharing.

Well, her outlook is a little different than my own. It seems to work for her though!

For myself, I much prefer going uphill than downhill. Going downhill, you can hurt yourself. Going uphill, you get to see who is stronger, you, the hill, or those running beside you.

    Nice find.
