Featured Web Site: Santa Speedo Run

Looking for something interesting to do (or watch) in Boston this weekend? Well, Saturday, December 16, is the day of the Santa Speedo Run. Now this may not be the biggest run but heh, since Christmas is just around the corner I thought maybe it just might be worth checking out.

It started out as a run with the guys to spread some cheer and have fun. Now it’s an annual event that raises funds towards a charity. This year, 100 percent of the funds raised by the Santa Speedo Run will be donated to The Ellie Fund, a local non-profit dedicated to fighting breast cancer and easing its effects on women and families across Massachusetts.

Of course my favorite part of the site is the photo section. By the way both men and women do participate in the event but it does appear to be a male-dominated event.

Viewing the videos is very entertaining. I love how some of the participants talk about what their training consisted of. “Carbo-loading with beer and occasionally running home”.
