featured websiteIt’s September and, for some of us, snow will soon be falling. Where I live (Calgary, Canada) rumour has it we may even get snow this weekend. I sure hope not. I’m just not ready for it. Are you? Do you know what to wear when it’s not a wonderful, hot sunny day? Well maybe this site can help you. The Competitive Runner has a great write up on “Casting off Winter Time Chills.”

winter_running.jpgThe article covers topics such as Cold Weather Attire and another section suggests guidelines for what to wear at various temperatures.

Of course the site has a lot more information to offer runners. Be sure to check out the links in the menu on the left.

Snow? Good grief I’m jealous – it was 95 here today. Ugh.

Yup, the weatherman promised snow and guess what? For once he kept his promise. Big fluffy stuff is falling as I look out my window. According to Yahoo the current temperature is 2C, feels like -4 and for my US friends that’s 36 feels like 25. Time to dig out the sweaters and fleece vests.

Light fluffy rain. T’aint snow yet. Shhh.

I NEVER wish for winter running, even on the hottest days. That said, I’m no weather wimp, and there are many astounding wonders to behold on a winter run. Thanks for the great links.

Where did all my mittens go?
