Karen’s next RBF motivational Challenge.
January 31, 2006 |
What images come to mind when you think about February?
Heart? Passion? Groundhogs popping up to look for shadows?
This month I challenge you to incorporate all of the above into your runs
and workouts, by emulating our Olympic Athletes as they compete in the 2006
Olympic Winter Games in Italy this month. Choose a winter olympian you
admire, follow them like a shadow as they compete, and strive to apply the
same passion and heart to your sport as they do to theirs. Then share your
thoughts about your efforts. You don’t need to necessarily shadow an
olympian of your own country, but here are some places to start, if that’s
what you prefer.
Canadians can learn about your olympians here:

I found the Canadian Olympic Team Handbook link very useful.
and a good site to look up American olympians is here:

What a fantastic idea!
[...] Yes, I realize I haven’t finished January’s Frostbite Falls challenge yet, but that doesn’t mean the rest of you get to sit around on your thumbs. Save yourself from some winter doldrums and check out this month’s challenge! [...]
[...] Oh, if you’re wanting to receive instant news items regarding the February Challenge athlete you’ve chosen (you’ve chosen one, haven’t you?), a News Alert site like this Google one will send you relevant info as it becomes available. [...]
